Crispy fried cube steak with white gravy.
4 to 5 pieces cube steak
2-3 cups approximately
2 cups milk
Pepper
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Milk added gradually
In individual pie plates or even regular plates: put milk in one, flour and pepper in the other. Take cubed steak and place in milk (dip both sides) then place in flour mixture just like you did in the milk. place back in milk, then once again in the flour, now do the next few pieces until all of your meat is covered well. Next pan fry in shortening. Cook until nicely golden brown.
White Gravy: Place margarine and flour in a sauce pan and mix until blended and clumpy add a little milk stirring constantly until thick add more milk and continue doing this until you have made the amount you are looking for.
When everything is done place gravy over chicken fried steak; mash potatoes and serve with your favorite green veggie!
