Chocolate Chip Toffee BarsSource: Jan Taylor 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13 x 9-inch pan. Stir together flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg and mix well. Add half the chocolate chips and the nuts. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of this mixture, and press remaining crumbs into pan. Bake 10 minutes. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly and sprinkle reserved crumb mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until brown. Top with remaining 1/4 cup toffee bits. Cool completely before cutting into bars. ENJOY! |
