Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Cookies

1/4 cup margarine
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package Duncan Hines white cake mix
1 (8 ounce) package chocolate chips
1/4 cup ground nuts (optional)

Cream margarine and cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract and half the cake mix until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix. Add chips and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
