Brownie Cookies

8 ounces semisweet chocolate
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
2 1/4 cups walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with either parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Melt the semisweet chocolate and the butter over low heat or in the microwave. Stir until smooth.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla extract at high speed until combined. Slowly beat in the cooled chocolate. Next add the dry ingredients until just blended but smooth. Stir in the chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoonsful 1 inch apart onto lined cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Be careful not to over bake. Cool on rack.

These cookies can be made ahead of time and frozen.

Makes 50 cookies.
