Salisbury Steak

1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup stuffing
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 can beef gravy
1 jar mushrooms
4 cups hot mashed potatoes

Mix thoroughly beef, stuffing, onion and egg. Shape firmly into 4 patties, 1/2-inch thick.

Heat oil in skillet. Add patties and cook until browned. Pour off fat. Add gravy and mushrooms. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes or until done.
