2 cups water
1/4 cup household ammonia
1/4 teaspoon shampoo or liquid detergent
Mix all ingredients in a bowl or jar. Set comb or brush in the liquid and allow to soak for 5 to 10 minutes.
Remove from the liquid and clean the brush by scraping with a comb (and vice versa).
Rinse with warm water, and allow to dry before using.
