Sherried Grapefruit

Grapefruit
Sugar
Dry sherry

Halve grapefruit. Loosen segments from peel. If fruit is brimming with juice, spoon out a little bit. Sprinkle each half with about 2 t sugar. Pour over as much sherry as fruit will hold. Fruit can be served chilled, at room temperature, or put under broiler until hot and slightly browned.

Serve as first course in place of salad, or dessert.
