Flour Tortilla Torte

1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips
2 cups (16 ounces) sour cream, divided
3 tablespoons powdered sugar, divided
8 medium-size flour tortillas
Chocolate curls or red and green candies, optional

Combine chocolate chips, 1 cup of sour cream, and 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar in top of double boiler or microwave-safe dish. Melt and blend well.

Place 1 tortilla on serving plate and frost with one-eighth portion of chocolate mixture. Top with another tortilla and repeat until chocolate and tortillas are used up.

Mix the last cup of sour cream with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and frost top and sides of torte. Chill overnight or all day.

May be decorated with chocolate curls, or red and green sprinkles for the holidays.

Serve by cutting small wedges with a very sharp knife.

Yield: 12 servings
