Oatmeal Shortbread

1 cup flour 
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup cold butter (must use real butter)
1/3 cup quick cooking oats

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Combine sugar and flour. Cut in butter with a fork, pastry cutter or food processor until mixture resembles fine crumbs and starts to cling. Stir in oats. Form mixture into a ball and knead until smooth. Roll dough to 1/2- to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into rounds.

Bake for about 20 minutes or until bottoms begin to brown.

Makes about 2 dozen rounds.
