White Cornbread

1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups white cornmeal
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup buttermilk (more add as needed)
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Mix dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and oil. Stir. If needed, add a little more buttermilk until you can move the spoon a little. Batter should be a medium thickness. Pour mixture into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees F or until golden brown.
